Mr. Sanchez joined the law firm of Cuddy & McCarthy, LLP in July of 2002 and became a partner January 1, 2009.  Prior to joining the Cuddy & McCarthy Firm, he was an associate with the firm of Miller, Stratvert & Torgerson, PA in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Mr. Sanchez obtained a BS degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of New Mexico and obtained his law degree from the George Washington University Law School.  During his years in law school, he interned for two judges in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

Prior to and while attending the University of New Mexico, Mr. Sanchez served in the United States Navy as an enlisted sailor.  Following his graduation, he again served in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Officer until 1993.  After graduating from law school and before entering private practice, Mr. Sanchez served two years as a Staff Attorney with the Office of General Counsel, Central Intelligence Agency representing the agency in all types of matters, including federal EEO cases.

He has defended employers against discrimination claims brought in federal and state court and in administrative proceedings before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New Mexico Human Rights Division.  He has also defended municipalities and their police departments in actions brought under Section 1983.  

He currently practices in the areas of employment law, school law, civil rights, insurance defense,  commercial litigation, municipality defense, Indian Gaming Law, and police training, mediation, and arbitration.

Mr. Sanchez is admitted to practice in the States of New Mexico, Washington and Maryland.  He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.  Mr. Sanchez is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of New Mexico, Washington State Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Albuquerque Bar Association, and the National Hispanic Bar Association.

Mr. Sanchez was born and raised in Northern New Mexico and he currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
